 Dominic Cafarelli is running for his first term on the Board of
Education.He is a master barber and owner/operator of Dom’s Barber
Shop.
Cafarelli
is a graduate of Mohonasen High School, where he went on
to graduate from the Royal Barber School and later
attended Schenectady Community College and SUNY
Plattsburgh, majoring in Political Science. He also
attended the University of Massachusetts for Business
Management.
Cafarelli is the
current co-president of the Mohonasen Sports Booster
Club, which he has been for the past two years. He also
served his first year on the Budget Review Committee.
Cafarelli has been a
past coach at Carman Little League and Rotterdam AAU
Basketball. He is a member of Edgewood Independent
League and current chairman of the Edgewood Scholarship
Committee. He is also a member of the Rotterdam Elks and
Knights of Columbus.
Cafarelli and his wife,
Lucia, have three children: Nicholas, who is a student
at Hudson Valley Community College; Lucas, who is a
seventh grade student at Draper; and Olivia, who is a
fourth grade student at Pinewood.
